1000 RATED: Who is your favorite 1000 rated player and why? |
|
JAY: There are many 1000 rated players I admire. Any of the 40+ year olds with 1000+ rating have my upmost respect to continue playing at that skillful calibre. As far as new players go, Paul McBeth has been a breath of fresh air. He has the skills to go all the way, but his attitude and level approach to the game are beyond his years. |

1000 RATED: Who is your favorite 1000 rated player and why? |
|
DES: Cale Leiviska and his energy he brings to the game. We have played in several final 9’s together and I enjoy watching how he applies his natural athletic ability to disc golf. Add to that the good time when we all shared some shots of mmm, with the ZZs as AO flipped some flapjacks for us as the sun crested over the VT mountains. Good times with a bunch of 1000 rated players and one of the sweetest tournament prizes, maple syrup. |

1000 RATED: Who is your favorite 1000 rated player and why? |

PATRICK: There seems to be more and more now but I would have to go with Eric McCabe. His attitude on and off the course is very professional and he is one amazing disc golfer. I definitely envy his putting, I honestly believe he is one of the best putters on tour if not the best. I respect Eric a ton and could only hope to be as successful as he has been some day. |

1000 RATED: Who is your favorite 1000 rated player and why? |

DION: Avery Jenkins. He brings professionalism to this sport that many players around the world should strive to imitate. Nate Sexton is a close second, and certainly the individual most responsible for my game today. |

1000 RATED: Who is your favorite 1000 rated player and why? |
|
BRAD: My favorite 1000 rated player at the moment is Mike Olse. I chose Mike because he is from Austin, and in my opinion if your going to learn from anyone, it should be from the best in your area. Mike has great form and is a very well rounded player, he is also pretty serious when he needs to get the job done. Qualities anybody who wanted to step up their game can learn from. If there is any a time to watch him play its in a final 9, he doesn’t hold back. He designs courses in and around Austin, its always fun trying to best him on his own course! Best of luck with your 2009 projects Mike. |

1000 RATED: Who is your favorite 1000 rated player and why? |
|
SCOTT: Dave Greenberg (Dave Greenwell and Dave Feldberg). Greenwell has been an endless supply of discs and knowledge to me. He has a shot for every situation and there is always something new to learn from him. He has also helped me with the technical side of the sport as well, with a huge emphasis on form. Feldberg has my admiration for the way that he rose through the ranks, and went from a 930-rated player to the top rated player in the world. I caddied for Feldberg in the 2007 USDGC and learned a lot about playing at a high level. He has immersed his life with the sport and I feel lucky to have become friends with him. |

1000 RATED: Who is your favorite 1000 rated player and why? |
|
DANA: It is hard to choose just one, but my favorite 1000 rated player would probably have to be Jay Reading. He was the first 1000 rated player that I got to play with and I’ve been lucky enough to play a number of rounds with him. He always carries a good attitude on and off the course. Also, I think it is just awesome that he devotes his life to playing and promoting disc golf. I also should mention that I’m a big fan of Nikko Locastro. While he is still a little rough around the edges, he’s a fun player to watch and I think he is going to have a monster 2009 season. |
